The lyrics for this song seem to talk about the person in question as if they are the only pleasant thing in their life,
they describe the person as blonde (white hair) with a hopeful smile, their insides on their outsides which could
show all their positive and radiant feelings are always expressed with
ease. He wants the opposite of this and says that it would be to him a
‘pleasant surprise’ with the imagery that this uses we build stereotypically a blonde female figure that is always positive
and attractive, which is not what he truly wants from the obvious lyrics of “when I’m with you, I don’t want to be with you” which is repeated throughout the song to maintain the feeling that this is not a positive love song about him loving
her but more about him being in a situation where he doesn’t love her or wants her to change drastically for him.He then again describes her with a ‘good heart’ and ‘desire to please’ however states straight after with ‘I want a fatal disease’ and this could have two meanings, either its literal
and he actually wants a fatal disease which adds a masochistic and depressed feel to the song or he wants her to change drastically so that she is the opposite of what she
is now and can be referred to as one, Which adds a more greedy but less emotional feel to the song. It depends on
how the listener takes these specific lyrics. It then takes a turn as he describes her as ‘everything’ and
his ‘most demanding dream’, which shows a softer side that he does genuinely care for this girl and is the first and only time we think of any positive emotion from him and gives
him some relatability to the listener and targeted audience.
As far as our video goes, we shall go for the idea of primarily focusing on one male and one female character in the video,
which should go well with this video due to its lyrics including no one but the mentioning of the singer and the
girl in question. Also we shall maintain the feeling of desire for change and sickness, we shall reinforce this with dark
and gloomy shots.
