To act on the Services for the Elderly Commission's 4/15/19 recommendation to have City Council authorize that the Mayor be the applicant and for the approval of Purchase for the Assisted Transportation Program's DOT Sec. 5310 grant. The grant supplies funding for 80% of the value of an approved wheelchair accessible van. If the grant is awarded, 20% of the value of the vehicle would be paid by the City with Funds already in the Elderly Services vehicle replacement account. The Assisted Medical Transportation Program has already secured funds for the 20% match through fund raising. Expected maximum cost of the vehicle; $59,822, Grant 80% $47,857 .60 /Program $11,964.40
