BREAKFAST MENUDAILY ALTERNATIVE ENTREES: 2oz Muffin (Choose 2), Fruit and Milk or 1oz
Cereal (Choose 2) Fruit & Milk or 2oz Muffin & 1oz Cereal (choose both) Fruit
& Milk. STUDENTS MUST TAKE 1 with 2 CUP FRUIT WITH EACH BREAKFAST MEAL.
POINT OF SALE SYSTEM
Antietam School District utilizes a Point of Sale payment system for all school meals purchased in the district’s
cafeterias. Upon registration all children are assigned a student ID number, which they will retain until graduation
and an annual ID card. Every student will have their own personal meal account based on their ID number. All
students will scan their ID cards at the cash register when they purchase their meals. MPPC/MPEC teachers will
retain the ID cards of their students throughout the day. MSHS students MUST have their student ID card with
them in the lunch line in order to purchase meals. Any MPEC or MSHS student that does not have their student ID
card will be sent to the back of the lunch-line and he/she MUST wait until all students with student ID cards have
received their meal. Assistance will be provided at the cash registers of all school buildings for new students. Free
and Reduced meal programs are securely contained in the system and the meal will be processed just as it is for
all students. When a student’s meal account becomes low, the cashier will send home a reminder notice with
primary and elementary students. In addition, a low/negative balance email will be sent to parents of all students
on a daily/weekly basis. Please reference the “ASD Meal Charging Policy” for complete information. Money in the
student’s meal account at the end of the school year will be carried over to the next school year. Graduating senior
meal accounts will be transferred to an active sibling meal account. In the event of no active sibling, a refund
check will be issued to the parent/guardian if remaining balance is over $5.00.

MPEC follows the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program. Lunch consists of a protein, grain, fruit, vegetable and milk. Under the offer vs. serve option, a student may take 3 of the 5 options with one of the options being a fruit or vegetable to be considered a meal.
Menu is subject change without notice. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Cathy Hartman at (610) 779-2606, ext 4114 or by email at [email protected].
2 Ways to Pay for MealsA pre-paid account for all students allows parents to deposit money in their child’s account, in any amount, at any time, without the concerns about giving their child the exact change every morning. There are two methods for depositing money into a student’s account:
1. Pre-Pay OnlineDeposits can be made using a credit, debit or electronic check to a student account through Skyward Family Access. The Food Service payment link located under the Food Service tab in Family Access will take you to “efunds for schools” which has a registration guide to help you set up your information. Please contact your building secretary with questions about Family Access.
2. Check or CashDeposits can be submitted using check or cash by placing them in a sealed envelope with the date, student’s full name, grade and amount clearly labeled on the outside. We recommend that parents send in checks rather than cash. Please make checks payable to Antietam School District Cafeteria Fund. If there is more than one student in a family, one deposit envelope may be used as long as you clearly list full name and grade for each student and tell us the amount to deposit into each student’s account along with the date. Example: 7/1/15 $20.00 check…. Billy Doe – grade 4 $10.00, Judy Doe – grade 1 $10.00
Students MUST deposit their envelopes into the lockbox located in their cafeteria before school starts or during the lunch period. Due to time restraints, NO DEPOSITS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN THE LUNCH LINE.

MENU
