Profile
I am a level 1 rope access technician with team leader experience in offshore and onshore wind turbine blade repairs and inspections. These include RE Power 3.2MW, RE Power 5MW, Siemens 2.3MW and the Samsung prototype 7MW.
I have excellent experience of working on my own and in a team and I particularly enjoy managing workloads and teams in busy environments, which I able to do whilst maintaining high standards and accuracy.
I am by nature a professional, mature, hardworking and dedicated individual with a proven ability in adapting to changing environments quickly.
I have skills and experience in epoxy resin repairs, repair at the leading edge and trailing edge, bonding techniques, lightning protection systems, chamfering, laminating, paintings and coatings, borescope investigations and the documentation of all stages of work.
I have logged over a thousand hours climbing, aid-climbing and rigging up to 126 metres and my goal is to have gained Irata level 2 by the end of summer 2015.
It is my desire to move towards the planning and organising facets of bigger and more complex projects, concentrating on the inspection & repair process of the rotor blades and I would love to travel farther and wider in doing so.
I am very eager to take on any challenge that gives me the opportunity to utilise and enhance upon my skills.

Vehicle Inspection Officer, Leeds Office (May 2004 – December 2013) Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency I was responsible for detailed and accurate inspections on rebuilt classics, kit vehicles/conversions, radically altered vehicles and imports. Liaising with other government departments (VOSA / HIGHWAYS / HMRC / DSA), external agencies such as Police / Interpol / Court's, vehicle manufacturers, franchised dealerships and owners clubs in order to create an accurate vehicle record. Self Employed Rope Access (October 2013) KD Access Limited Albert Street Huddersfield HD1 3PY Installation of Christmas decorations to the roof and 30m tower of the Trafford Centre. This work was done through the night and involved abseiling techniques to bolt and ratchet strap some of the 7m long decorations to the side of the tower.
