This is the first LUCERNE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in partnership with the Swiss National Transportation Museum, the City of Lucerneand Lucerne Tourism.

Lucerne is known for their first class festivals like the Rose D'Or, Blue Balls Festival, and Festival of Lucerne clearly became a leading host forbig events. In cooperation and partnership with these great and unique experienced partners we will offer a high quality festival. The LIFF wasfounded by award winning movie makers, just like you. We have been at many festivals and we always "wished" for more. Better hosting, betterlocation and better organization. We aim high for the LIFF and hope to be the first festival from which you will return saying..."WOW....I must go again..."

The main event will start at the Swiss National Transportation Museum (Verkehrshaus) where we offer to screen your movie on an IMAX screen. The Filmtheater in Lucerne offers the largest screen in Switzerland and allows us to be one of the first festivals to offer IMAX films and documentaries.

Get enchanted by the Swiss National Transportation Museum. It is the largest transportation museum in the world, offering a complete historyof humanities greatest achievements, including one of the largest NASA collection and Planetarium.

Visit the museum during your stay and learn all about film making and where movies come from. This is all included in the film maker's entry kit.We will host in the Museum's media room all music videos on multiple screens, plasma screens and in an environment you have never experiencedbefore. Miss Switzerland will be hosting and you can count on numerous worldwide known bands to perform. What a great event on its own?In the 600 seat Congress Room we will show animated movies and great children's movies, which will be open not only to LIFF attendants but alsoto the public museum visitors.With our great GALA evening we'll offer VIP service to all movie makers. Transportation will be provided by the City of Lucerne. Spend timearound the beautiful Lake of Lucerne, take in the city and fall into the magical charm of Lucerne.
