The Board was briefed about the contents of Agenda Item regardingstatus report on the queries/ observations of DTC Board in BoardResolution No.50i2016 with respect to Introduction of fully Electric ACBuses in New Delhi by Delhi Transporl Corporation as Pilot project.

The Board was further infbrmed that fully Electric Buses are notcovered in the Gazette Notification No. So 830 (E) dated 13.03.2015 onScheme for FAME, - India of Deparlment of Heavy Industry [DHI] andLevel-1 & Level-2 are applicable only for cNG variant Mild HybridElectric Vehicle [HEV] & Strong Hybrid Electric vehicle tHEVl. Sincethe project is at a very preliminary stage and new technology of fullyelectric bus is being introduced in India which is not fully established yet,as such, Department of Heavy Industry [DHI] has no data for working outlife cycle cost/ cost benefit analysis in respect of fully electric buses/hybrid buses.

After detailed discussions, the Board resorved as under -

(i) In view of the financiar grant in the fbrm of demandin_centives proposed by DHi under the FAME Scheme ofDHI, Governmenf of India, fbr purchase of Hybrid ElectricBuses, a proposal fbr procurement of 100 Hyorio ElectricBuses by the corporatio, be submitted befbre the Board.

(ii) The above proposar shourd arso include the engagement of aProfessionar consultant through Limited Tenderlrrqri.y u,done in the pas.t, who wi, give aetait.a ,"po.t on the scopeof the project, its financiat iiability, tech,icai spe"in"ationsof the Hybrid Electric Buses, theii maintenance aspects andcharging infrastructure etc.

(iii) A Depot for the operation of the Hybrid Electric Buses beidentified.

The Board was briefed about the contents of Agenda Itern regardingStatus Note on depleting Regular Staff Strength & Bus Fleet of thecorporation. The Board was further informed that by the end of the year2025, no bus will be left for operation in the DTC fleet and only ostz(including 5052 regular drivers) regular emproyees will remain on roll.

After detailed discussions, the Board resolved that the status beinformed to the Government.
