Greetings!

Thank you for your interest in working for our summer school here at Liverpool School of English. We are enormously proud of our international summer school. Since 1999, we have welcomed young learners from more than 70 countries to Liverpool for our English Language and Culture course.

Who are we?

Since 1999 we have provided English language training in a stimulating and supportive environment where students learn effectively, succeed in achieving their goals and enjoy an exceptional experience. Liverpool is a wonderful destination for international students, large enough to be lively and exciting yet small enough to be relaxed and easy to get around. In 2015 Liverpool was found to be the UK's friendliest city in the country and our city centre location makes it easy for our students to enjoy the many cultural attractions that Liverpool is famous for. Our main school is open year round and situated in a beautiful, Grade II listed building in the heart of the Knowledge Quarter next to Liverpool John Moores University and The University of Liverpool.

Summer School

We are now in our 21st year of running our successful Junior Summer Schools. Our centres are accredited by the British Council for the provision of high quality summer courses for students aged from 10-17 years, unless they turn 18 in their final school year. Students stay in either homestay or residence (university hall-style) accommodation and will typically spend the mornings in class studying English as a foreign language and their afternoons, evenings and weekends enjoying activities and excursions. We operate courses across a number of sites in Liverpool as well as in London. We are now seeking engaging and enthusiastic Teachers, motivating and encouraging Activity Leaders and caring, approachable and adaptable House Parents to join our summer schools and play an integral part in our students’ LSE journey by encouraging them to Learn, Succeed and Enjoy their time with us!
