Setting preferences
Before you start searching it’s good to change your library links preferences to the University of Bedfordshire.
Click on ‘Scholar Preferences’ in the top right corner of the screen. Scroll down to the library links section and type in the University of Bedfordshire in the box and click on ‘Find Library’. Make sure the box is ticked next to University of Bedfordshire.
If you scroll to the bottom of this screen you can set the bibliography manager to your preferred package e.g. RefWorks
Click on save preferences.
Searching
Enter your keywords and click on the search box. Your results will appear like this:
Lots of results so you may want to refine your search.
Try putting your search terms in double quotes to search for the phrase e.g. “educational attainment” and adding additional search terms.
Change from ‘articles and patents’ to ‘articles excluding patents’
Change the date range for more recent results
You may want to use the advanced search to get increase the accuracy and effectiveness of your search.

Click on the PDF option if available
Look for University of Bedfordshire links
