jses.international.session@gmail.com The theme for the International Session in English at the 69th Annual Meeting at Hitotsubashi University is “Rethinking Secondary Education in East Asia in the Knowledge-based Society.” In the session, participants will discuss about the past, present, and future of secondary education in the East Asia. The topic would cover the link between secondary and higher education, the influence of declining birth rates, the impact of secondary education in social mobility and related issues. All presentations in this session will be in English, and discussions will also basically be in English. Applications and 2-page abstracts should be submitted to the Directorate of International Affairs by email at jjses.international.session@gmail.com. The deadlines are the same for the sessions in Japanese (Applications should be made between May 19th and June 16th, by 18:00 o'clock . Abstracts should be submitted between July 1st and September 4th, by 18:00 o'clock). Please note that if you apply for this international session, you cannot apply for any concurrent session in Japanese.
