GRADE 5 PURSUASIVE WRITING

Seussical The benefits of having merchandise sold at the 2018 Leongatha Seussical concert are incredible. We could raise loads of money to go towards the education system and sporting equipment, we can attract lots of other members of the community, and also have this amazing experience remembered forever. I strongly think that we should sell merchandise at the LPS Seussical concert to help raise money for our wonderful school. Since this is going to be our major fundraiser for this year we need to raise as much money as we possibly can. Merchandise is a great way to help fundraise, as we can sell incredible amounts worth lots of money. This money can go towards our education system, to help improve our learning skills, and our sporting facilities including new basketball courts with new concrete for safer play. Another great reason we should sell merchandise, is to help attract other members of our

community. Someone might see a brightly coloured shirt reading ‘I ❤️ SEUSSICAL’ and

wonder where they got one of those magnificent shirts. Or perhaps someone might have a Seussical jr. disc, and instead of having to go see the musical, (not that anyone wouldn’t because it’s going to be AMAZING!) they might just buy the disc and be able to watch the whole thing in the privacy of their own home. We DEFINITELY should sell merchandise at Seussical jr. Last but not least, we should sell Seussical merchandise for this main reason. To remember Seussical forever. Whether you buy a mug or a shirt, it all helps you to remember the incredible experience of Seussical. You don’t have to have a lead role to be a star in Seussical, because every person in the crowd is a little star. Mrs Stein puts so much work into these productions and they are always a HUGE success and raise lots of money. This year if we can sell merchandise, we will be bringing this production to a whole new level. MERCHANDISE FOR SEUSSICAL! Having merchandise sold at the 2018 Seussical production has so many advantages such as raising money for our education system and sporting facilities, attracting members of the community, and to help us remember the moment forever. Selling merchandise for the Seussical concert would be so helpful and have so many benefits. What’s a spectacular musical without merchandise to remember it! By Lara Gill- 5HS 2018
