LOVE SUMMER - 2022 EVENT OVERVIEW Liverpool City Council’s popular picnic event is returning bigger and better in 2022 giving even more residents the opportunity to enjoy long, balmy summer nights a hop, skip and jump away from home. Local Liverpool parks will burst into life over three weeks hosting food trucks, a pop-up bar, live tunes, garden games and an open-air cinema. Love Summer will be held from 5pm – 10pm on the below dates, at 3 different locations.

• Friday 14 January 2022 & Saturday 15 January 2022 – Lakeside Park, Wattle Grove • Friday 11 February 2022 & Saturday 12 February 2022 - Macleod Park, Prestons • Friday 25 February 2022 & Saturday 26 February 2022 – Stante Reserve, Middleton Grange

KEY FACTS • The event is limited to 4 food trucks and 1 coffee vendor per night (subject to change); • All vendors must operate out of a mobile food vehicle; • The event’s capacity will be capped according to COVID-19 restrictions. Currently 1000 people,

however this is subject to change; • Event entry is free; • Food vendor proposals will be judged on selection criteria, chosen based on food & beverage

offering, with preference to Liverpool LGA or southwest business; and • COVID -19 Compliance is mandatory. Food vendors will need to provide their Covid-19 Safety

Plan and register as a Covid Safe business. QR Code registration must be used with all vendors.

FOOD VENDOR BRIEF & SELECTION PROCESS Selection Process Considerations

• The type of food offering proposed to suit a family friendly event; • The total number of vendors that are delivering a similar product and consideration of dietary

requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free); • The food truck set-up, including requirements, configuration, access and adding to the aesthetic

appeal of your space; • Vendor’s own marketing channels and social media presence, following, customer engagement

and assistance in promoting the event; • Provision of high-resolution images of the menu items proposed; • The applicant’s experience delivering a similar stall or service at a major event, including dealing

with high volume crowds and quick turnover; • Vendor’s price point - keeping in mind Council’s goal to ensure food offerings are affordable and

family friendly; and • Preference to businesses in Liverpool LGA & south western Sydney.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Due to the terrain and layout of the event site, mobile food vehicles only will be accepted for this event.

Additional signage and theming are at your discretion and will need to be disclosed pending approval.

Liverpool City Council cannot guarantee access to running water on site.

Your stall may be subject to a routine food inspection by our Environment Health Officer and subsequent fees will apply if a food inspection is required by Council.

Most recent Food Safety Inspection Report (less than 12 months old) issued by your home Council

High resolution Business Logo (.eps or .png file)
