The following are some of the defining moments in the life of Camphill this past year; - Our 3 year grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundaon to promote and expand our community services has successfully completed its first year! - Our third annual Tribute Dinner honored Donna Douglas and raised a record amount of funds. - Our website and logo was dramacally refreshed with the able assistance of PosiveE Soluons and Beard & Associates. - We received a 2 year grant from MCSS to iniate a community Employment and Volunteer program for companions. - We once again achieved a balanced budget in spite of connued pressures and growing needs. - The Board of Directors and Senior Management were jointly orientated to the Personal Outcome Measures under the tutelage of Julia Wolfson. - We hosted the CANA Regional Meeng in April and most recently the Internaonal Camphill Movement Group. - The CCO staff are to be congratulated on securing over $500,000 in new funding & grants over the past year! - The Land Centre project has secured an architect and Phase I of building will begin this summer. - The Co-housing project under the guidance of SHS Consulng is entering Phase II of its development. - A Quality Development Team has been created to lead CCO towards eventual accreditaon through the Council on Quality and Leadership. th - Novalis Hall underwent a moderate upgrade and refurbishing to celebrate its 20 birthday! These successes are the result of many passionate and dedicated hands at CCO and those who so ably support our cause. Here are a few of those champions; Ron Parsons – a true friend and parent, leaving the Board aer mulple years of service. John Erskine-Kellie – our current MCSS Program Supervisor, who has provided outstanding advice and support. Julia Wolfson – providing compelling educaon regarding Personal Outcome Measures to some 40 staff over the past 3 years. Chuck & Diane Kyd – our ever present Founders providing countless hours of coaching, love and dedicaon. The Tribute Commiee Treasa, Sco, Mike, Erica, Lori, Diane Debbie, & Elizabeth, for countless hours of volunteer giving. Qulaity Assurance Commiee – under the able direcon of Janet Scarfe, parent and Life Member of Camphill. As I pass the President's baton off at this Annual Meeng, let me say that it has been an honor to serve Camphill along with this current group of dedicated Board of Directors. This Board has dedicated itself to connuous self-improvement and governance leadership, in parcular its unanimous endorsement of the Personal Outcome Measures and accreditaon process. To the staff of CCO I humbly and sincerely thank you for your reless, compassionate and dedicated service to your work. To the many volunteers and community partners we share a full and resonate thank you for helping us achieve so much. Finally, to all our companions and families I thank you for the opportunity to serve and for allowing us to be a part of your lives. Over the past 29 years we have chiseled out an important place in the communies we serve as well as the world beyond those boundaries. th May good fortune follow us into our 30 year!
