DENVER - The Art Underground is hoping that its recent purchase of a 1.4 acre site in Lafayette willhelp it become a destination spot for other metro residents and out-of-town visitors.

The longtime downtown Louisville-based nonprofit that offers classes in dance, arts and theater isplanning to move to its new Lafayette space in mid-2016 after the project -- located at 420 CourtneyWay in Lafayette near Highway 287 and South Boulder Road -- breaks ground this September.

"We hope to explore unique, creative programming and to eventually be able to bring regional andpossibly even national level quality programming to the space, after full build out of the auditoriumamenities," said TAU executive director Lori Jones.
