RELIEVING PRINCIPAL’S REPORT This week we welcome Miss Elise Waghorn who will be working with K/6CA for the remainder of the term. Welcome Elise! Today and tomorrow our Year 6 students, led by Ms Berg, are being trained as peer support leaders. Peer support lessons will begin next term on Tuesday afternoons for all students K-6. Many thanks to Ms Berg and the Stage 3 staff for supporting our student leaders.
I’m sure everyone felt the disappointment for the Matilda’s as their World Cup campaign came to an end this week. But despite the disappointment, Captain Sam Kerr’s words, “we’ll learn from it and we’ll come back stronger” sent an important message to all of us about the power of positivity and resilience. I know all of the Matilda’s families and supporters are incredibly proud of the girls and a certain principal who is having an amazing time away!
Enjoy the week!
Mrs Khay

P&C News Fundraising News Woolworths Earn and Learn The Woolworths earn and learn campaign ends today, 25 June 2019. However, we have a little more time to get the stickers collected and counted before we can redeem our rewards. The goal we have set is 20,000 stickers and at the moment we have collected just over 10,000, half way with plenty more needed. So would you please remind your relatives, friends and workmates that you are collecting these for your children and let’s see what wonderful educational equipment we can earn for our school. Thompson’s Pie Plus Other Products Drive A huge thank you to everyone that placed an order for Thompson’s products, we were simply inundated with them. The delivery date is next week on Tuesday, 2 July 2019. Items will be packaged up and MUST be collected on this day, from 2.45 pm at the school hall as we do not have storage facilities to cater for the volume.
If you are willing and able to assist with the compilation of orders, please leave your name and contact number at the school office, so that the finer details and arrangements can be finalised by the committee. We sincerely appreciate your support with this event. Fundraising Committee.
