10k RACE VENUE/STARTThe race starts and finishes at Lordshill Outdoor Recreation Centre (Five Acres), Redbridge Lane, Southampton. The race will start promptly at 10.30am.

PARKINGThere is no parking at the race venue or Cedar School, so you are asked to park at: Oasis Academy (previously known as Oaklands school), Fairisle Road, Lordshill, Southampton SO16 8BY. There is plenty of free parking here (in blue on the map below) but it is a 10 minute walk to Cedar School. (Sainsbury’s overflow carpark - signposted off Lordshill roundabout - can also be used). Please leave yourself plenty of time to get to Cedar School and the start, particularly if you have children with you who want to take part in the children’s races.

RACE HQRace HQ (including the ‘late entries’ desk, number collection and children’s race entry) is at Cedar School. Marshals will direct you from the car parks to Cedar School. It is a 5 minute walk from Cedar School to the start.

CHILDRENS’ RACESA series of short races for children aged from pre-school to 14 years will take place at Lordshill Outdoor Recreation Centre. Entries are on the day only and will cost £1 per child. Trophies will be awarded to the winners and mementos will be given to participants.

9.45am - Pre-schoolers 9.50am - Early Years/Reception and Key Stage One10.00am - Key Stage Two10.10am - Key Stage Three All proceeds from the Children’s Races are going to Bens Heroes Trust, a Children’s Cancer Charity that was founded in 2011 to help children with cancer to access potentially life saving treatments not available on the NHS. http://bensheroestrust.org/ LATE ENTRIESSubject to the race not having reached its limit of 500 runners, late entries will be available on the day at Cedar School. The late entries desk will open at 8.30am and will close at 10am.

PRE-RACE WARM-UP10.10am - come along to Lordshill Outdoor Recreation Centre and be warmed up by Paul Laslett, director of BrightsidePT, personal fitness trainer, former national 800 metre athlete and UK record holder for 4x800 metres. http://www.brightsidept.com/

TOILETS, CHANGING & BAGGAGEToilets and changing at Lordshill Outdoor Recreation Centre available from 8.30am. Supervised baggage area at start/finish at your own risk.

FOR YOUR SAFETYEarphones/ipods etc are prohibited and must not be worn during the race. Please follow marshals’ instructions at all times and do not allow your supporters to follow the race on bikes or in cars.

DRINKS STATIONSAt approximately 5.5km and at finish.

PRE- AND POST-RACE MASSAGEMassages will be available from 9.00am at Lordshill Outdoor Recreation Centre from Alison Wilson (qualified massage therapist).

MEMENTOSWill be awarded to all finishers.

Memberships are valid until 31st December. Renewal is invited during December for the following year; all renewals are due by 31st January. The membership fee is £15.

It is essential that you complete this form when applying for membership to ensure that the club records are up to date and that we comply with the England Athletics rulings. The England Athletics fee of £5 is included within this membership fee. You should expect to receive a membership card directly from them shortly after 1st of April. You will also receive a LRR membership card. You cannot run races representing LRR until you have paid the membership fee. Your details will be passed onto England Athletics for the purposes of affiliation.
