LONDON’S TRANSFORMATIONOVER THE YEARS

London evolved significantly over the years from Londinium, a creation of the Roman Empire in 43 A.D., to the megacity we know today.

The fall of the Roman Empire transformed Lond-inium to the City of London around 43 A.D.The city’s greatest transformation occurred after the Second World War, where the city was left in ruins. Professor Sir Patrick Abercrombie came up with the first and ONLY regional plan to change London’s cityscape. His ideas of urbani-zation have shaped the models in present times.

London has now maintained its place as a center of global power, an international business hub, and trade center with a population of over 8.6 million.

HISTORY OFSHEPPERTON

In 959 A.D., Shepperton was known as an agricultural village.

Shepperton is a suburban village in the borough of Spelthorne, in the county of Surrey in England, bounded by the River Thames to the south and east.

Due to its location, accessibility to the village was improved by the Shepperton Lock and Sunbury Lock to support the trade in the 1810s. Further suburbanization occurred after railway construction in 1864, moving its distance closer to London, and allowing the formation of small business along its high street.

Film and production studios allowed the populations to rise in the 1930s. As of now, the village has about 7000 citizens of a diverse age-range.
