Cricket is UK’s No. 1 summer sport. Success at a County and National level is a direct function of the strength of cricket at club level. London Gymkhana Cricket Club would like to play a small part in it now to hopefully being an integral part of it within next 5 to 10 years.
The Club is made up of members that brings with them an impressive record of achievements previously at various other clubs across the globe. We are proud to have members who not only played cricket at club level but at first class and national levels.
Cricket is a changing game and as an incubator of new talent, our Club needs to play its part in preparing players for the game of the 21st century.
We must continue attracting juniors to start playing cricket and to keep them playing through to senior levels. To do this we need to provide facilities that give our players the best opportunity to compete at all levels of cricket. And we need to play - and be seen to play - a vital role in the life of our local community.
Here is our plan for the future.

Outline of our business plan
Team Performances During 2014 season, LGCC fielded 3 teams. Out of which their 1st team is promoted, for a second year in succession, and will now be playing in the 1st Division of Surrey Cricket League.
Home Ground In April 2014, LGCC was finally granted a 15 year lease to Alexandra Recreational Ground, which has now become their home ground. This also meant that after a gap of many years, cricket finally played at the ground. The club carried out significant repairs and upgraded the dilapidated club house.
Coaching The acquisition of home ground want a long way towards one of the main objective of LGCC i.e. to become a centre of coaching excellence for local young boys and girls of any race or origin or background as long as they share the common goal to learn the beautiful game of cricket and hence act as a incubator for first class cricketers
Our immediate goals and requirements Some of LGCC immediate goals and requirements are; • Lay an artificial practice pitch • Buy bowling machine to help
batsman improve their techniques and batting skills.
• Set up a small gymnasium in the club house to strengthen and improve physical fitness for all members.
Grow and develop colts and women cricket
Promote the club in the local area by getting the local schools and colleges involved and help them with their coaching needs. In this regard, club has received a letter of support from Pacer Cricket Academy (http://pacercricketacademy.com/), whereby they showed their willingness to train and help certain selected members. Pacer Academy is an established cricket coaching setup and has a strong coaching panel comprising of many renowned international players including Wasim Akram.
What this will mean to LGCC and the local community
Premier cricket facilities within Kingston borough
A local coaching centre for residents of Kingston borough where they can bring their children with the confidence that they will get excellent training and coaching
A place for locals to come and watch a good game of cricket every week during the cricket season for years to come
Performance on the field and recognition in the community
