London ¨gherkin¨Londýnská okurka

Her colloquially name is gherkin. Construction was completed in December 2003 and was opened at the end of May 2004. There are 40 floors and stands on the former site of the Baltic Exchange building. Its hight 180 metres.

The Cucumber dominates the London financial district and it´s the headquarters of a global marketplace for buying and selling ships. The building was designed by Norman Foster and his engineers.
