      What is scary and deadly but is called a normal name? A tornado. Do you know where tornados from? If not then I’ll tell you. 

Tornados from on land.When we get moist air from the Gulf of Mexico, and cool dry air from Canada. Tornados . Tornados 

happens mostly in Tornado Alley. States in Tornadoes Alley are Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and 

Dakota.            

The Fujita scale F­0  40­72 mph 

F­1  73­112 mph 

F­2  113­156 mph 

F­3  158­206 mph 

F­4  207­260 mph 

F­5  261­300 mph 

 A tornado can be 2­6 miles long and 25­50 yards long. Tornados 

can get up to be 300 mph. Tornados are the roughest of all 

storms.They can last as long as an hour or more,or 10­25 minutes.  

 Fun Fact !!! Did you know that people go and chase tornados every day.!!!

           Tornados have winds that can trash buildings. Tornados destroys everything in its path. Objects in  a tornado's path go flying across some where. An outbreak of tornadoes happen 

often in Tornado Alley.    

 

Words to know: outbreak­a sudden start of something. (out­break) 

 

Stay Safe  

       When a tornado happens you want to stay inside away from 

windows. If there is no shelter,lay flat in a ditch. Don’t hide in a 

car,because it could be lifted by a tornado. Prepare a handy safety 

bag,and remember to pack helpful things like a flashlight, a first aid kit and a blanket and 

food.          

 The tornado came down with lighting really
