NP/PA 24-Hour Waiver Training Visual Guide – For NPs ONLY

Log in to the AANP CE Center. (This example creates an account. If you already have an account, log in instead.) Click “Sign in” in the top right corner.

If you are a new user, click “Start Here.” Otherwise, sign in as usual.

It brings you to a login page. Click “Create Login for MyAANP” to create a new account. Otherwise, sign in here.

Enter your email twice and click “Next.”

Enter your information and submit. All fields are required, even though some don’t have asterisks.

Submit.

You should now be logged in AANP. To go to the CE Center, click “CE Center” under “QuickLinks” on the left.

Once inside the CE Center, choose “Buprenorphine Waiver Course” in the Categories list.

Choose the course. ***IF THE CALLER HAS ALREADY TAKEN THE 8 HOUR COURSE, THEY SHOULD CHOOSE PART II ONLY. IF THEY HAVE NOT TAKEN THE 8 HOUR COURSE, THEY SHOULD CHOOSE “NP/PA 24-HOUR WAIVER TRAINING”*** This example uses the 24-hour product.

Choose the product you need, then click the green “Register Now” button on the right.

Click “Yes” in the pop-up window to take the course.

Click “Play” and a new window will open, which directs you to the ASAM e-Learning Center.

Click “Register” to register for the course.

Click “Complete Registration Now” to add the course to your cart.

The product is now in your cart. If you do not have an e-Learning Center account, click “Create Account.” Otherwise, log in. (This example creates a new account.)

Enter your name, email and postal code. Click “Continue.”

Enter your information, including your credentials. Remember to fill out everything with a red asterisk. When finished, click “Next.”

Next, log in with your information.

You should be redirected to the e-Learning Center after logging in. Confirm you are logged in by locating your name in the right-hand menu. Choose “Cart,” which should have one item inside.

Click “Complete Registration.”

Once the registration is complete, choose “Dashboard” from the menu on the right.

You will now see all the courses you’ve registered for. In this example, there is only one course. Under “Packages,” choose “NP/PA 24-Hour Waiver Training – AANP” by clicking the title.

This brings you to the main package page. Next, click “Content.”

Begin the training. (IF the caller has already done the 8-hour course, have them begin with Part II.) Click on the title to enter the training.

This example uses the 16-hour course. The 8-hour course is similar in that you press a blue button to begin the content (should say “View On-Demand Web Content” or something similar). To begin the video, click “view video.”

When you successfully complete a module/test, the component will turn green. Once finished with all of the modules, the learner will receive a participation code. Click “Read Terms” to see the code. **NOTE: HAVE THE CALLER WRITE DOWN THIS CODE!!!! THIS WINDOW ONLY APPEARS ONCE**

The code will appear in a new window. Click “I understand and have written this code down” to continue. DO NOT GIVE OUT THIS CODE UNLESS YOU CAN CONFIRM COMPLETION.

Once you get the code, click the button “Return to AANP CE Center” to return to the AANP CE Center. This is how the learner will submit the evaluation and claim credit. A new window will appear.

Click the “Already Registered” button to view the product.

Choose the blue “Steps to Receive Credit” button. A new window will appear.

Read and agree to the affidavit by clicking “I Agree.”

Enter the Participation Code received in the ASAM e-Learning Center. The code is case-sensitive. Click “Submit.”

Complete the evaluation.

Answer the questions, then click “Submit.”

Once the evaluation is submitted, view the certificate by clicking “Get Certificate.”

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You’re finished!
