Caregiver Support GroupFor many, the demands of caring for an aging parent can be difficult. For a number of others, adding in the demands of a family with children can make it seem almost impossible. However, there is hope.

The Indus Caregiver Support Group is organized on a monthly basis for caregivers and volunteers.

These are group sessions designed to educate, inform and empower caregivers. Participants will learn more about various health related issues and information on other programs available in the community to support and help the care giving process.

Friendly Visiting ProgramFriendly visiting program is designed to maintain social and emotional interaction for socially isolated and cognitively impaired seniors in the comfort of their home, hospital, and long term care setting.

Screened and trained volunteers engage clients in meaningful activities providing respite and support to caregivers.

Clients in this program receive ongoing security reassurance checks which are simply a quick, regular telephone call confirming the clients health and well-being.

Seniors Wellness ProgramSeniors aged 55 and older are engaged in various stimulating physical and mental activities that are

beneficial for participants in maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Seniors

who attend this program are also given leadership and volunteer opportunities.

Educational presentations are offered on health related topics such as healthy eating, the dangers of Heart, Stroke and Alzheimer’s diseases.

Advice is shared in friendly and caring environment.
