What’s CAP? The Commuter Alternative Program rewards UNC students & employees who do not drive alone to campus.

How do I sign up?Online: If you don’t have an on-campus parking permit, register for Park & Ride permits or other options at: cap.unc.eduIn person: Exchange your parking permit at any time in UNC’s Public Safety Bldg. or the Hospitals’ Parking Office.

* UNC permits are valid in these Town-owned lots. ** Town permits may be purchased by anyone at: townofchapelhill.org/prlots.

Ride for FreePurchase a Park & Ride permit to park in Carrboro or Chapel Hill, and ride Chapel Hill Transit fare-free into campus. Daily and weekly rates are available, and annual permits cost about half as much as parking on campus!
