What is a screening program?

Screening programs are a way to detect early signs of a disease in healthy people who do not show symptoms of being ill. This allows diseases to be caught early and helps to stop more people suffering or dying.

Most of the time screening can be 100% accurate and are used as a pre-cautionary measure
