Sir,I am directed to invite your kind attention to DCl's circular No. DE-167-2015/8919 dated 24.09.2015 on the

above mentioned subject whereby all the dental institutions in the country were requested to furnish the requisiteinformation in the prescribed format as per DCI Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Dental Colleges,2009 as per annexure-II of section 12 of the Regulations by 315t October, 2015.

2. In this connection, it is stated that your Dental Institution has not yet furnished the requisite feedback as perthe time schedule prescribed in the above DCI Regulations, therefore, I am again directed to request you to furnishthe requisite information as asked in DCI circular dated 24.09.2015, within 48 hours positively, failing which, theDCI shall have no option but to take action as per section 11.4 of the DCI Regulations on curbing the Menaceof Ragging in Dental College, 2009. The relevant extract of section 11.4 is reproduced below for your informationand ready reference:

11.4 At the DCllevel:-If an institution fails to curb ragging, the Dental Council of India shall impose anyone or anycombination of the following penalties on it:11.4.1 To initiate the derecognition process against the institution under section 16A of the

Dentists Act, 1948.11.4.2 To reduce the admission capacity ofthe institution to the extent to which the Council

deem fit.11.4.3 To stop further admission in the institution till further orders.11.4.4 To stop renewal of permission in respect of UGIPG Dental Courses.11.4.5 To post the information regarding penalties so imposed on the concerned institution

on the website of DCI for information of all concerned.

3. Further, I am directed to say that in case any dental institutions could not get the aforesaid DCl'sRegulations and above DCl's circular No. DE-167-2015/8919 dated 24.09.2015 on curbing the menace of Ragging inDental Colleges, the same may be downloaded from the DCl's website i.e. www.dciindia.org.in and furnish thecomplete details as per annexure II of section 12 of the said Regulations immediately.
