Ideal Care Day Party Guest Mr. Orville Gross
is one of the most interesting people that you could
ever meet. He graduated from Union College where he
studied to become a chemical engineer. He was drafted
into the Air Force in WW2, became 2nd lieutenant,
and then became a fighter pilot. He was then drafted
again into the Korean War where he served honorably.
As a chemist, Mr. Orville created several patents fromcatalysts to a solid fuel that NASA still uses today.
He is an excellent golfer with 3 hole-in-ones, 2 of which
came at Sandestin Golf Resort, FL. He is also a great
guitarist, who picked and sang in a bluegrass band.

One of the most joyful times of the holidays is time with
loved ones. Our residents were blessed with visits from
family and friends locally, and others came from as far as
Tennessee, Louisiana, and Florida.
We went on outings to Kaleidoscope Christmas, dining at
Jumbo Buffet and Big Boy, along with some local church
senior luncheons. At our house, The Corinthian, we had a
gift exchange, made ornaments, and decorated cookies.
We have also had fun celebrating the birthdays of day
party guests and staff.
