Ballistic Specifications

BR6 level are armoured using materials, both opaque and transparent, that meet or exceed the requirements of the European CEN 1522/23 and CEN 1063 standards to the level FB6 for opaque areas and BR6 for transparent areas.

Armoring All four sides of the passenger compartment and the roof of the vehicle are protected using high-quality armour steel and glass defeating 7.62x51mm M80 Nato Ball ammunition (U.S. NIJ level III, CEN level BR6/FB6) and 5.56x45 SS109 ammunition (CEN level BR5/FB5 and BR6/FB6) at 0° incidence (90° to the surface) and 10m range according to CEN1063 and CEN1522.

Opaque Areas: All opaque areas including the roof are protected against the following and all lesser weapons/ ammunitions at 90° impact angle in accordance with the above specifications.

Armoring design:

The armouring is integrated inside the vehicle’s cab and forms a complete self-supporting structure so as to avoid excessive stress on the vehicle’s original structure.

The interior armour-frame provides overlap for the large-surface armour components such as the door armour-plates and the windows.

Hinge mounting points are reinforced both in the pillars and in the doors where applicable in a way that the armouring of the door is supported by the armouring of the pillar.

Heavy-duty hinges with in-built door-stop.

Fuel-tank, battery and ECU protected with steel armour-plates.

Test Reports/ Product Liability

All materials used in the production of the cabin were successfully tested against projectiles and explosives by independent laboratories. Test reports can be presented upon request or during a factory visit. The armoring of the vehicle provides protection against a wide range of projectiles and explosives. However, complete protection is not possible for reasons of design and modern military weapon technology.

Run-flats: Hutchinson (USA)/ Europlast (Germany) Run-flats are inserted in all tires including spares.

Warranty and after sales service warrants any armour related items installed, and conversion related custom workmanship, including transparent armour, for the period of 1 years or 20,000km, whichever comes first. Any suspected warranty related work must first be confirmed as being necessary by means of technical consultation with a representative of Shell Armoured vehicle.

ARMORING DESIGN

Pricing:

Price Per Units, Ex Work UAE : USD 48,950.00

Payment terms:

80% of the contract value to be paid at the time of order, 20% upon completion and

acceptance of the work, prior to delivery. 5% VAT is Applicable, If shell is not exporting Price quoted ex-works UAE, Shipment will be arranged upon request.

Delivery

20 units will be ready for delivery within 45 working days from confirmation of the order.

General Terms and Conditions of Business apply. Completed vehicles remain the property of Shell Special Vehicles until receipt of full payment.

UAE law is applicable. LIABILITY & DAMAGES: Any future liability to the buyer/third party under this contract will be limited to the warranty terms. Seller will not be liable for any other future claims. Any disputes as be as per UAE laws.
