MBA maritime management The maritime industry is a key component of today’s world economy. In excess of 90% of global cargo movements are undertaken by sea and a complex interaction of business organisations generates a need for professionals who can make a positive strategic contribution.

This innovative programme is offered by the Liverpool Maritime Academy and uses the long-standing experience of the Liverpool Business School (LBS) in delivering masters programmes at postgraduate level. The LMA brought together LJMU’s education, research and training products into a single package which can be more effectively delivered to the maritime sector. The LMA has developed strong links with the City of London (the world’s leading international financial, maritime and business service centre) through Maritime London and the Lord Mayor’s Office. The strength of the LJMU Maritime brand is reaffirmed through the LMA’s ability to win high value commercial contracts and contracts with UK and international governments and industry bodies such as Maritime London and the Society of Maritime Industries.

The programme is delivered in partnership with the LBS who offer an extensive portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and research based programmes covering all aspects of business.
