Faculty  LiveText  Scores  Entry  &    Artifact  Upload  Step-‐by-‐Step  Guide

1.  Login  with  Username  and  Password  from  LiveText  home  page  –  www.livetext.com

2.  Courses  will  appear  on  Dashboard  as  shown  below.    Click  on  the  red  status  bar  to  pull  up  the

students  in  the  course/section  you  wish  to  give  scores.

3.  Your  students  will  appear  on  a  screen  like  the  screen  shot  below.

4. Choose  a  student  to  assess  by  clicking  on  the  students  name  or  checking  the  box  next  to  the

students  name  and  clicking  Assess  Selected  Students.

5. Click  the  blue  box  titled  Assessment  Rubric  to  one  the  rubric  matrix.

6. Some  courses  will  have  only  a  single  set  of  scores  to  give.    In  this  case  the  rubric  matrix  will

appear  right  away.    If  you  are  giving  more  than  one  set  of  scores  (such  as  conceptual  framework

scores  and  SPA  plan  scores)  you  will  see  rubric  titles  to  choose  from  to  open  rubric  matrices.    In

the  screen  shot  below,  you  can  see  that  this  course  gives  four  different  scores.    Simply  click  the

rubric  you  want  to  pull  up,  or  you  can  click  them  all  to  open  them  all  at  one  time.

7. Once  your  rubric  matrix  is  open,  clicking  the  box  for  the  score  you  wish  to  give.    The  appropriate

box  will  be  highlighted  to  indicate  you  have  given  a  score  as  shown  in  the  screen  shot  below.      If

you  must  give  a  justification  for  a  Conceptual  Framework  score  of  Unsatisfactory  or

Distinguished,  for  example,  click  the  comment  bubble  next  to  the  title  to  open  up  a  comment

box  to  type  in,  as  shown  below  in  the  screen  shot  for  Caring  Actions.    You  may  also  wish  to

expand  the  text  of  the  rubric  shown  by  clicking  the  Show/Hide  Rubric  Descriptions  box.

8. If  you  are  not  going  to  load  this  student’s  assignment  as  a  sample  artifact,  click  the  ‘x’  to  close

this  box  and  click  the  Submit  Assessment  box  to  finalize  a  student’s  score.      If  students  have

submitted  their  artifacts  in  LiveText,  you  do  not  need  to  attach  any  sample  artifacts.    If  students

have  not  submitted  their  assignments  in  LiveText  you  upload  a  student’s  artifact  by  clicking  the

box  next  to  the  Assessment  Rubric  box  titled  Attachment.

9.  Uploading  Attachments:    Uploading  an  attachment  currently  is  a  three  step  process.    You  must

browse  for  the  attachment,  upload  it  and  then  once  the  upload  is  completed,  you  must  click  the

Insert  Selected  Attachment  box  as  shown  below  (the  box  below  the  blue  Assessment  Rubric

box).    Once  you  have  uploaded  a  student’s  assignment/artifact  then  click  the  Submit

Assessment  box.    If  you  have  already  done  a  final  submit  of  the  student  and  need  to  go  back  and

change  or  upload  an  attachment,  you  may  click  the  Undo  box  and  continue  before  again  clicking

Submit  Assessment.

1. Once  all  students  are  assessed  their  names  will  appear  in  the  far  right  column  as  shown  below

and  you  are  done!
