Students must:
- hold a valid study permit- be registered in full-time studies- have been a full-time student for at least six of the 12 months
preceding the date of the work permit application - hold a GPA of 2.5 or higher- have a SIN card

• Students who are eligible for co-op need:
- to apply for a co-op permit- a valid study permit- a letter from the co-op office

work in Canada for a period of up to 3 years after graduation.
• Students in programs of 1 year or less are only eligible for a work permit of 1 year.
• Students in programs 2 or more years are eligible for a permit of up to 3 years.

Students must: • have completed the program of study and received
notification. • apply for the work permit within 90 days of
receiving written confirmation (for example, a transcript or an official letter) of graduation.
• have a job offer from an employer for a job that is related to field of studies.
• have a valid study permit.
