-My loving thanks to all for the beautiful celebration of
Mother’s Day at our Parish. I very much thank all our
Parish Family for your participation in the Holy Rosary
devotions before both Liturgies. Our little gatherings
prayed very well and very powerfully. I could feel it.
-My big thanks goes to the First Communion children
for their participation in the ceremony of crowning our
Blessed Mother for Mother’s Day. It is a special joy
for me to see our children around the Holy Altar and
participating in our church services when possible. I
also thank all the children who came forward to place a
flower at the statue of Our Blessed Mother. How
beautiful it was to see these little children run to our
Blessed Mother with a flower in their hands to give to
Her. I think She smiled at them more than me.
-I want to thank all those who helped with the serving
of our Moms at the little receptions in their honor.
Many big thank yous go out to our helpers who took
care of the cleanup and the resetting for the second
Liturgy. I want to thank our Parish Staff members for
all their good help with this project as well.
-A very special thanks is expressed to all those who
were able to come to Church on Wednesday evening
for the Vigil Liturgy for the Holy Feast Day and for the
Rosary Devotion in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of
Fatima. My thanks also goes to John Jesser for sharing
the sound equipment and the key board. Thank you
very much for going out of your way to deliver these
good props for our use.
-A special thank you to our Music Ministry for your
valuable participation. And a thank you to those who
helped with leading the Rosary Prayer.
-I want to thank those who provided food and goodies
for the cover dish meal we enjoyed afterwards.
-I want to thank key benefactor, Joe Ashkar. Good
menu, good food!

ABOUT THE WINDOW REPAIR PROJECT AT THE RECTORY
What we have – There are 11 arched Plexi- glass windows.
They are 93” wide & 61” tall.
A GOOD THING- These windows help keep out the rain and snow and adds security to
the Rectory.
A NOT SO GOOD THING- These windows have created condensation followed by a lot of mold.
These windows are weather beaten and by now not too secure in
place. You can see a lot of deterioration, rotted wood.
The stucco wall on the outside is pulling away because of moisture
behind it.
These windows block air circulation which is needed to provide
ventilation for the roof.
WHAT WE NEED - Replace these windows with insulated glass
Tilt the window sills for water run off using a stone product.
Rebuild the stucco wall on the outside as needed.
Provide proper circulation for the roof vents.
ESTIMATED BOTTOM LINE – Each new window installed with the correct glass, proper
framing, all outside repair = $ 3,500.00 per window.
This is a really big project. Benefactors are needed to proceed.
Who is able to help ?
Think on this… By Sub-Deacon Alex
Internet safety. Parents, it is important to know what your children are doing on the Internet. The best way is to ask
them, "what do you do on the internet?" and to lay out for them appropriate use of the Internet. It is also good to
make them feel comfortable to tell you about what they may encounter. Kids today encounter bullying, peer
pressure, extreme violence, predators and manipulators, and videos and images that present people as objects to use
and consume. Any child with exposure to the internet including 4 year olds can encounter these things on accident.
By the time a child hits puberty they could already have a distorted view of love and marriage. It is part of the role
of being a parent to take a monitoring and modeling role for your children show both moderation and appropriate
use. For more information see www.faithandsafety.org.
