OUR LADY OF LOURDES NEWSREST IN PEACE - Please remember in your prayers the soul of Fran Harris, who passed away on Wednesday, August
14th and whose memorial Mass will be Saturday, September 7th here at Our Lady of Lourdes at 10:30 a.m. at The Grotto. There will be a luncheon in the Hall after the Mass. We extend our sympathy to her family.
FUNERAL LUNCHEONS - Organizational meeting will be Monday, August 26th at the parish house at 10:00 am. Anyone interested in helping please come.

MORE MUTUAL INTERESTTHE 9TH ANNUAL PERCH, PEACH, PIEROGI AND POLKAFESTIVAL - Will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in down-town Port Clinton at 109 E. Perry Street, on Labor Day Weekend. Thisyear the fun filled event will begin on Friday, August 30, at 5:00pm. The fun, food and fantastic polka music will continue on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. The festival will be open from 11am until 11pm on both Saturday and Sunday. We also have pizza , popcorn and face painting, too. This year Port Clinton will also have the Tall Ships in port, commemorating the Battle of Lake Erie 1812, so come on over to Port Clinton for an enjoyable time of family, food, fun and festivities!! More information on the Bulletin board.DIVORCECARE – Is a Christian based recovery/support group for the divorced and separated, who are suffering from this painful life event. DivorceCare is a video seminar series featuring some of the nation’s foremost Christian experts on divorce and recovery topics as seen from a biblical perspective. The video seminars are combined with support group discussion of the material presented during the video. The program was revised in 2012 and covers very timely topics. The program begins September 9, 2013 and runs through December 2, 2013. This 13 week program will be held at St. Ignatius Church in Oregon, Ohio in the Family Life Center. St. Ignatius Church is located at 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 The program isrun by lay people and there is no charge for the program. THE OAK HARBOR GROUP - Has room on the Texas-Ye-Ha trip. Dates are September 17 - 27th. Includes Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Huston, New Orleans, Nashville TN, the Grand Ole Opry and more. Cost is $1435 per person double occupancy. October 11th we will be traveling to Bearcreek Farms, Bryant IN. This is the
last show they will have. We will see Doug Gabriel, from Branson, MO. He sings country, pop, variety of songs and comedy. Plus a meal. Cost is $60. Reservations due by Sept. 10th. November 19 - 21st we will be going to the Kalightoscope Christmas in Louisville, KY. This is a sensory exhibit of light, color and artistry featuring the sights and sounds of Christmas. RCIA – It’s not too early to think about joining the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults this fall. Weekly sessions will begin on Sunday, September 15th, after Mass (11:30) in Genoa’s OLL hall for those considering joining the Catholic Church at Easter. Come and see if we are a good fit for your journey toward God. THE PONTIFICAL MISSION SOCIETIES - Have selected Toledo as one of the ten dioceses in the United States in which to display the relics of the Patron Saint of Missions, St. Therese of Lisieux. The relics will be on display in the evening from 5:00-7:00pm at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral 2535 Collinwood Blvd, Toledo OH 43610. Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Leonard P.
