Explanation of Significant VariancesYear ended 31st March 2018

Income:

A grant of £2249.00 was received from Cumbria County Council which will be used to purchase new play equipment for the village green – this will be spent in 2019/20

£924.00 was received from Bridgefoot Village Hall in reimbursement for an invoice for the refurbishment of the village hall floor, paid initially by the Parish Council. The payment of £924.00 for the refurbishment also appears in the Parish Council’s spending for the year.

Expenditure

£934.00 was paid to Border Floors Ltd for the refurbishment of the Village Hall floor (see note above).

£1438.00 was paid to Mr D Wood for the refurbishment of a village bus shelter.

A donation of £400 was paid to St Luke’s PCC as a one-third payment for the cost of grass cutting in the churchyard – historically the Parish Council paid this regularly each year but this had fallen into abeyance until it was reinstated in the 2017/18 financial year.
