Literacy/Phonics Maths Topic/Other Read your reading books and talk all about the events and characters in the right order. Go to phonics play, simply type in phonics play into the search bar. Select phase 3 and select the game Make a Match – pirates game ‘ai’, ‘ee’ and ‘igh’. Time for Writing. Write a diary entry of what you did yesterday using your phonic knowledge and tricky words (in your phonics book). First ‘finger tell’ your sentence (your child knows what this is) now focus on 1 word at a time, segment the word and write it. Read the word already written and move onto the next word. After writing a new word always go back and read the words written before until you reach the end of the Cut up into small squares a cereal box. Write the number 1 on one square piece and continue until you have written all of the numbers to 20. Now hide your numbers around the house or garden and play the ‘number hunt’ game. You can play a spot check number recognition game. Just hold up a number for your child to say what number it is. Can they say the number one more than the number or one less? Read your reading books and talk all about the events and characters in the right order.
