Auctioneers Conditions of SaleThe stock will be sold in euros i.e. each bid is €1.05 and no fees charged to buyers. The
biddings to be regulated by the Auctioneers.
The higest bidder to be the buyer, and if any dispute shall arise, the lot in dispute to be put
up again and re-sold, or the Auctioneers may declare the purchaser at their discretion and
their decision shall be final. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse the bid of any person
without being called upon to give a reason for such action.
All lots to be paid for at the close of the sale. No lot or lots shall be removed from the sale
premises until paid for and a pass-out slip obtained from the Auctioneer’s clerk, but each
and every lot shall immediately at the fall of the hammer be considered as delivered, and be
and remain in every respect at the absolute risk of the respective purchaser or purchasers
there of, and shall be removed from the Sale premises at the purchaser’s expense. Loading
shall be the duty and responsibility of the purchaser.
The purchaser to give his name and dwelling place, and to remove the stock immediately
after the sale.
Every care has been taken in the compilation of this catalogue but no responsibility is taken
by the Auctioneers for any error appearing therein or in regard to the qualification of the an-
imals and all purchasers must be on this distinct understanding.
All statements in the catalogue or any made by the Auctioneers at the time of sale, also the
identification of the animals, are the entire responsibility of the Vendors. The Auctioneers
take no personal responsibility for the correctness of such statements or identities.
The Auctioneers act as Agents for the Vendors and any action taken by a purchaser must be
against the Vendor and not against the Auctioneers, and “vice versa”.
Neither the Auctioneers nor the Vendors will be responsible for any accident through fire or
any other cause whatsoever; nor for any damage done by animals prior to, during or after
the sale.
If any of these conditions are unfulfilled, the Vendors or the Auctioneers shall have power to
re-sell the lot or lots concerned, retaining any surplus and charging any deficiency to the de-
faulter.

FOREWORDWelcome to the 31st liSDuff SAle of calved and in-calf heifers.
On offer are a group of well developed heifers that reflect the LISDUFF breeding philosophy of breeding
high yielding animals with high solids that are built to last and be a pleasure to milk and manage. Only
the top AI Sires from around the world have been used at LISDUFF for over 30 years and the results
in the form of production and classification are evident throughout the catalogue. Indeed 46 of the 52
heifers catalogued are out of EX or VG dams. Sires that are influential in this years catalogue include:
WINDSOR-MANOR DURHAM ZEUS, MORNINGVIEW LEGEND, PINE-TREE MARTHA SHOLTEN,
MACOMBER OMAN BOGART, PLAIN-O DURHAM ROSS and CROCKETT-ACRES EIGHT.
The LESLIE family contributes 9 members to the Sale. Originating from embryos imported from the
USA over 20 years ago the family consistently delivers great cows. It also produced LISDUFF MAN-
FRED (LDU) EBI 221 at NCBC. 6 members of the ever reliable SASHA family , originating from Canada,
are on offer . The ELLEN family that is so consistent adds 5 members. Along with these are two special
offers that demand your attention, lots 4 and 8 from the MARY family that is rapidly rising to prominence
in the herd. In conclusion Lots 51 by ATTWOOD from the LESLIE’s and 52 by AFTERSHOCK from
the PHLOX ‘s are something special.
The Sale will conclude with 5 bulls of exceptional potential.
Lot 53 - is a CROCKETT-ACRES EIGHT from MARY 24EX91 that is the herds top milk solids
cow averaging over 5%fat and over 3.8%P for 6 lactations.
Lot 54 - is a MORNINGVIEW LEGEND from a VG maternal sister to LDU (EBI 221).
From the LESLIE’s, high milk and protein will be delivered here.
Lot 55 - a RADON from a young LORRAINE cow that has a future in the herd.
A well-built bull whose sire is leaving very promising youngstock.
Lot 56 - An exceptional offering from the MARY’s backed by generations of exceptional protein
and what will become 3 generations of EX cows.
Sired by LONG-LANGS OMAN –OMAN , this lot is very special.
Lot 57 - From the superbly uddered VG MASCOL daughter of MARY 16EX92 and sired by
ROMERO, an opportunity from this beautiful young cow.
Every animal in the herd has been individually BVD tested and the entire herd is vaccinated against
BVD, SALMONELLA and IBR. All heifers are LEPTO vaccinated.

SIRES of CALVES and SERVICE SIRES
COGENT TWIST is the Sire of 4 calves and 9 heifers are in-calf to him. He is the current star of
the COGENT Stud in the UK, breeding strong high production daughters with outstanding con-
formation, especially legs and feet. Sired by the great SHOTTLE and from the cow family that
produced SPOCK he also has the successful sires WINCHESTER and PATRON in his pedigree.
+541 kgs milk, +25kgs bf, +.08%, +19 kgs P, +.01%. +1.95 udder, +2.47 legs, +2.4 overall.
WOODMARSH TOPSHOT is also a SHOTTLE son progeny tested by ABS in the UK. His dam is
a RUDOLPH from the LYME family that has produced a number of successful sires in the UK.
The outstanding feature of the daughters is the udder conformation which should be no surprise
considering that his grand-dam has produced 37 daughters averaging 87points on classification.
