Logging into PINACLE®

On the Sign On screen, enter your Company User ID, Operator ID, Password, and Token Pass code (if applicable).

Begin by going to http://www.pnc.com in your web browser. Once there, select CORPORATE AND INSTITUTIONAL from the top of the screen and click the GO button, located on the left-hand side of the page, to access the PINACLE® Sign On page.

• Between 8-14 characters

• At least one letter, one number, and one special character

• No spaces

When changing your password, a strength indicator shows red until the password meets the minimum requirements, at which point it turns green.

Token at Login

The following services require a Token Pass code:

• ACH

• ACH Positive Pay

• Capital Markets

• Foreign Exchange

• Funds Transfer

• Payables Advantage

• Token Pass code •

If you are trying to access ACH, ACH Positive Pay, Capital Markets, Foreign Exchange, Funds Transfer, or Payables Advantage, a Token Pass code MUST be entered. If no Token Pass code is entered on the Login page, you will be prompted to input one upon entering the module. Tokens are assigned to operators by your company’s administrators. Operators MUST have a token assigned to them in order to access the above services.

PLEASE NOTE: If your company or Operator ID is set up to have Token at Login as a requirement each time you are logging into PINACLE®, regardless of what service(s) you are accessing, you MUST enter a Token Pass code.

To generate the Token Pass code, simply press the gray button on the token. A random response is generated. Type that response into the Token Pass code field. To order additional tokens, please contact your PNC Treasury Management Officer or Sales Associate.

Main Menu

Quick Find: Top of every screen of PINACLE®

• The Utility Bar, located at the top right of the main menu, contains the My Profile, Message Center, Event Notification, Administration, Contact Us, and Help functions. These links may vary depending on your entitlements. Clicking on the Log Out link will end your current PINACLE® session. Failure to do this may cause you to receive a duplicate login with your next login attempt.

• The Modules Tab Bar displays modules that your Operator ID is entitled to. These are listed in alphabetical order at the top of the screen. To access a module, simply click on its tab. If you have more than 12 tabs, you will see an Other tab. Clicking Other will display the rest of the modules.

• The Quick Links drop-down gives you a list of commonly used PINACLE® functions to which you have entitlements (i.e. performing a check inquiry or initiating a wire).

• The Message Bar runs across the length of the screen. It will contain information on Alerts, Informational Messages, and Event Notifications. To learn more about a message that has been posted, either click on the banner message or click directly on the Message Center hyperlink. Once you have read and acknowledged the message(s), the Message Bar will disappear. For more information, please see the Message Center slide.

Upon logging in, the Home Page screen will display. This screen features portlets that will allow you to have quick access to balance information, various functions, PINACLE® News, and other items of interest. For more information on the Home Page, see the Home Page/Dashboard Training Module.

Clicking the My Profile link on the Utility Bar directs you to the Preferences screen. This page allows you to set preferences for your Home Page, as well as modules to which you have entitlements. For more information on Preferences, see the training modules for the respective services.

The Security Information section allows you to change your password and Security Questions.

The Change Email screen allows you to change and/or add your email address on file for your Operator ID. An email address is needed in order to Report/Track Issues, receive Event Notification emails, and/or utilize the password self-reset function on the Login Page.

Whenever there is a System Alert, Event Notification, and/or Informational Message available, a message banner will display at the top of the page. Multiple messages may appear in this message bar.

Depending on the severity of the message, the bar may appear red (indicating a System Alert), orange (Event Notifications are available), or blue (an Informational Message is available).

To read a message, you can view it on the Home Page portlet; click directly into the Message Center from the Utility Bar, and/or click on the banner message at the top of the page.

Quick Find: Message Center

View Messages

To view messages within your history, click on the View Message History link, located at the top of the Message Center. You can choose which types of messages to expand or choose to expand all messages at once.

The Message Center contains two pages: View Messages and View Message History. The View Messages page is the first page that will display when you first enter the Message Center. This page will display new messages that are unacknowledged.

To view messages, you can choose to expand all sections, expand only a specific section, or click on the message type hyperlink to expand.

To acknowledge a message, check the box to the left of the message or choose Select All Expanded Messages and click on th e Acknowledge Selected Messages button at the bottom of the page. Acknowledged messages will be moved to the View Message History page and the banner message at the top of the screen will disappear.

Manage Issues: Reporting Issues

Manage Issues: Tracking Issues

Click Track Issues from Contact Us. Issues submitted through the web and those reported over the phone will display, providing you with a complete record of your interaction.

You can easily identify the two types of issues:

Issues entered via the web are marked with a globe icon.

Issues reported by phone are marked with a telephone icon.

In addition to calling or emailing, you can submit issues directly through PINACLE®. TMCC maintains a service level agreement of two business days. You will receive a response to your issue within this time frame.

Click Report Issues from Contact Us on the Utility Bar. The first screen will prompt you to select the specific Product and Account for the issue you are reporting. Click Continue.

Next, select Problem/Issue you wish to report. If your issue does not appear in the list, select Other and click Continue.

The final screen allows you to enter Additional Information, describing the issue you are reporting. Click Submit. Your issue will be sent to the proper department for a resolution. An issue tracking number will be assigned to each case.

Manage Requests: Add and Review Service Requests

Operators with the Service Requests entitlement can add certain service changes to their PINACLE® setup and view submitted requests. Changes submitted are sent to your company’s PNC Treasury Management Representative and will affect the entire Company ID.

Manage Requests: Reports

The Reports option allows you to view an audit report for one or all operators within the Service Requests service.

Please Note: Only operators with the proper entitlements will have access to the various Contact Us functions.

The Maturing Investments section of the Dashboard displays Bank Product positions with a maturity date, which is the current date plus 5 business days into the future.

For those operators with the Bank Products trade entitlement, the Reinvest hyperlink will display. This link will direct you to the Bank Products Trading page.

Maturing Investments will only display if an operator has Bank Products assigned to their ID.

The Account Summary allows you to select an account from the dropdown menu, view a pie chart for each account selected, view account history, and view account information.

For a Money Fund account, the Account Summary will display the name of the fund, 1-d yield, 7-d yield, Accrued Interest MTD (USD), Accrued Interest YTD (USD), Balances (USD), and Trade hyperlink will display.

For Bank Products, the Product, Maturity Date, Term (Days), Rate, Interest at Maturity (USD), and Principal (USD) will display.

Research: Combined Research

The Research section of Liquidity Management allows operators to filter Money Funds and/or Bank Products. For those operators with both Money Funds and Bank Products assigned, the Combined Research page allows you to research both types of accounts at the same time.

This page will reflect both Money Funds and Bank Products, based on your operator’s entitlements. For Money Funds, select a Category, Money Fund Family, and/or Fund Name. For Bank Products, select a product, Bank Product Terms, and/or a Rate/Yield Range.

Hit the Reset button to set all values back to default. Hit the Filter button to view all money fund and/or Bank Products that match the specified filters.

The Trading section allows you to view details, Today’s trades, Today’s Purchase Total, and Future Dated trades for your Money Funds and/or Bank Products. If your operator ID is assigned with Bank Products and your company requires Dual Authorization, you will see Bank Product Dual Auth within this section.

On the main Trading page, you can select all accounts, Bank Products only, or money funds only from the Product Type dropdown menu.

You can choose to Purchase a New Fund, Trade, and/or Reinvest, depending on the account type. Operators’ views can vary based on their entitlements within Liquidity Management.

Click on the View Fund Info As Of Date to launch the corresponding window.

You can also click on View Details or the Today’s Trades + symbol to display additional information.

Trading: Money Fund Trading

The Money Fund Trading page will display the Transaction, CUSIP/ISIN, Fund, Beginning Balance, Pending Balance, 1-d Yield, 7-d Yield, and Cutoff Time.

To trade, enter an amount, select your Trade Date, and hit the Next button. You will be directed to the Preview Trade page to review the information. To proceed, hit the Next button. Your transaction will then process.

Trading: Bank Product Trading

The Bank Product Trading page allows operators to queue up multiple orders at once before submitting for processing. If your company is set up with dual authorization, it would require approval before processing.

This page will display the Product, Cutoff Time, Transaction Type, Amount (USD), Order Date, Settle Date, Maturity Term (by date or days), Rate, Settlement Instructions, Maturing Investments detail, and Today’s Rates. After entering your data, hit the Add button. The system will verify that it can continue with the data entered. If it can proceed, the order will be added to the Order Queue, located at the bottom of the page. If there is an error, a message will display.

As orders are added, they appear within the Order Queue at the bottom of the Bank Product Trading page. You can choose to Edit or Delete orders by clicking on the corresponding hyperlink. To submit, either click on a single order’s Process hyperlink or click on the Process All button to submit all at once.

The Queue will display the Product, Transaction, Amount, Order Date, Settle Date, Term, Maturity Date, Rate, Status, Settlement Instructions (if any), Dual Auth, Edit Submit, and Delete columns.

After submitting, you will be directed to the Confirmation page. Next, click on Today’s Trades for details.

PLEASE NOTE: Orders added to the Order Queue are not saved if you end your PINACLE® session or if you navigate away from this page prior to submitting for processing.

The Today’s Trades page will display pending and confirmed orders with a Settle date that is less than or equal to the current date, along with next day cancellations. Status will show Pending ( ), Complete ( ) or Cancelled ( ).

You can select to view Money Funds only, Bank Products only, or all accounts from the Product Type dropdown menu, depending on the types of accounts assigned to your operator ID.

The Bank Product Dual Auth page will only display if your company is set up with dual authorizations for Bank Products. Companies with this function enabled will require another operator to approve submitted orders prior to them being submitted for processing. Only operators with the approval entitlement will be able to approve orders.

The data on this page can be exported to a .csv file by clicking on the download to csv hyperlink. You can also filter the orders by statuses (All, Approved, Rejected, Pending, Expired, and Error) by clicking on the Status dropdown menu.

After reviewing the order, click either the Approve or Reject hyperlink to proceed. If an order is rejected, it will not appear on the Today’s Trades or Future Dated Trades pages.

EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS

An email notification will be sent to all operators assigned with the account for orders that require authorization (Bank Products). For security purposes, no specific detail about the order will be contained within the email.

The following are the types of notifications that are sent:

- An order has been created and requires authorization.

- An order requiring authorization has been approved.

- An order requiring authorization has been rejected.

- An order requiring authorization will expire in less than 30 minutes.

- An order requiring authorization has expired.

The Matured Interest report is available for those assigned with Bank Product accounts. It displays all accrued/matured interest for a specific product type over a specified time range.

Select an Account, Product Type, and Date Range. Hit the Search button to view results, which will display at the bottom of the page.

The results will summarize the Total Interest Paid, Total Principal, and Total Maturing Balance. Each position will show the Maturity Date, Account, Product, Investment ID, Rate, Term (Days) Interest at Maturity, and Principal Amount.

The Daily Interest report is available for those with Money Fund accounts assigned. It displays a day by day breakdown of the fund’s holding details for a specific account over a specified date range.

First, select an Account, Fund, and Dates/Date Range. Hit the Search button. Results will display at the bottom of the page. Results include the Date, 1-d Yield, Daily Factor, Daily Accrual, MTD Accrual, and End of Day Balance.

Click on the Download Daily Interest to export the report into a csv format.

The Compliance feature enables your company to establish trading rules that support your investment policies. Any rule created within this section will apply to all operators. All operators have the ability to view rules, view active rule violations, and view compliance groups that have been created. If you have been assigned with the Manage Compliance entitlement, you will also be able to create, edit, and delete both rules and groups.

The opening page of the Compliance section is the Compliance Rules – Add page, which displays a list of previously created rules.

Compliance – Adding a new rule

To add a new rule, click the Add hyperlink from the Compliance Rules – Add page. After you are done entering data, hit the Submit button. The rule is effective immediately.

Select either Account or Compliance Group and choose a Fund type to add to the rule.

Select and enter one of the options within the Ownership section.

Select Block trade to force the transaction to automatically cancel. Select Alert trader to allow the user to choose to cancel or override the transaction.

If a rule has been created with an action of Alert, an operator can choose to override the rule which creates a violation within the system. The Active Violation page allows you to search and view rules that are overridden.

A Compliance Group allows you to apply a rule to a group of accounts at the same time without having to create a rule for each account. Click on Compliance Group from the Navigational Menu. Any previously created groups will display.

To add a new group, click on the Add hyperlink. Next, assign a name to identify the group and select the accounts to be a part of the group. Hit Submit to create the group. The new group can be chosen when a rule is added.

To edit an existing group, click on the Edit hyperlink within the Compliance Group page. Changes made are effective immediately.

To delete a group, click on the Delete hyperlink. The group will be removed from the list.

Liquidity Management Administration

Once you’ve located the Operator ID that you would like to edit, click the Modules & Utilities tab within the operator’s profile.

Locate the Liquidity Management service from the list of modules. To assign it to an operator, check off the box under the Assign column. If you would like for this operator to have administrative capabilities (they can then add/delete/edit another operator within the service), check off the box under the Administrator column. Hit the Submit button to proceed.

Once the Liquidity Management service has been added, the next step is to assign entitlements within the service. To view current entitlements, click directly on the Liquidity Management link under the Modules (view) column. To add/edit entitlements, click on the Manage link to the right of the Liquidity Management service.

The Assign Entitlements page will display. First, select whether the operator should have access to View Only, Trade and View, or Manage Compliance and Trade.

Next, check off the Assign checkbox to allow the operator access to the account within Liquidity Management.

If your company has the Dual Approval function enabled, check off the Dual Approval checkbox to require approval on transactions for specific accounts. It would require another operator to approve prior to being submitted for processing.

To assign all functions for all accounts, check off the All accounts for all functions checkbox.

Hit Submit to save the changes. You will be directed back to the prior page. Changes are immediate once submitted.
