required. Checking existing records for customer’s to help prevent fraud, registering new customer accounts, which

Corporation Nightclub, Sheffield (March 2012 – June 2013)Bar Supervisor

Responsible for the smooth running of the bar, including overseeing up to 7 members of staff, by making sure duties are done to a high standard and organising staff comfort breaks. I was also tasked with providing customer service and handling customer’s issues when required.

Supervisor responsibilities included: Opening and setting up the bar, checking stock levels, replenishing low levels of stock when required, and addressing staffing issues such as lateness and providing feedback where needed. I was in charge of setting up the till float at the start of the shift, ensuring that we had a constant supply of change for the tills and also cashing up at the close of business.

SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) A focus on the importance of brand recognition and “telling your story” online through various means of

communicating with customers. Advise on procedures, idiosyncrasies and dos and don’ts of the different social media platforms.

Nationally recognised scheme

No 6 Chambers, Leeds (July 2012) Week long mini-pupilage at busy criminal barrister’s chambers in Leeds to experience a typical working week for

a criminal barrister. Shadowed several barristers of various level of experience. Examined case files, attended court (Magistrates and High Courts in Leeds and Bradford) Accompanied barrister and was present whilst discussing relevant case details with clients.

Other Relevant Information

Frequent participant in the ‘Class SLO Scheme’ at University. This involved collection of feedback on University modules and presenting the information to senior team members to assist with the University’s pledge for continued academic improvement.

Experience working in the financial services industry as part of Capita Asset Services, and Halifax Share Dealing.

Experience working with digital marketing and social media; in particular Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr platforms. Some experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).

Other Interests

Outside of work, I am a musician who has played both lead guitar and bass for the past ten years; I am currently the bass guitarist in a Leeds based band called This City Limits. In addition to this I enjoy attending live music shows, the theatre, and the cinema, as well as reading and writing both fiction and non-fiction stories and articles.
