Develop a knowledge exchange network to encourage:
Networking (Current, former CERN Personnel)- Federate the CERN Community
Knowledge exchange- Facilitate and optimize the knowledge exchange process
Sustainability - identify, maintain, develop

exchange• Knowledge exchange given Management endorsement as
important role for CERN• Technology Transfer – Knowledge and Technology Transfer
• CERN Global Network launched 29 May 2010, > 400 Members
WHY HAVE A CERN COMMUNITY
- Already exists informally, need to bring together, develop- International nature of research at CERN- Capitalize on wide variety of networks – identify specific
profiles, expertise, partnership opportunities- Ambassadors for CERN and for its activities- Keep in contact with current and former Personnel worldwide

Generated at CERN in the framework of its activities; Brought into CERN by people from institutions worldwide; Exported outside CERN through people’s mobility,
training, technology transfer, procurement, etc.
