September NEWS from
Chamber President Karen Jeffers
Hello September!
“By all these lovely tokens September days are here, with summer's best of weather and
autumn's best of cheer”. Helen Hunt Jackson
September is here and the promise of autumn weather is just around the corner. Kids
are back to school and football is getting underway. It is an exciting time of year, espe-
cially for the Chamber! We are excited to be having Pastor Courtney Carson as our key
note speaker for the 6th Annual Mt. Zion Community Prayer Breakfast. The Prayer
Breakfast will be held October 25th at the Mt. Zion Convention Center.
The Community Prayer Breakfast is such a great way for us to celebrate faith and com-
munity. I encourage all of you to attend. Even better, purchase a table for your business
or group. Tickets will be $10 each ,and this year’s caterer is Angelo’s. Those of you who
attended last year’s Prayer Breakfast may recall the delicious meal Angelo’s catered.
We are expecting another excellent meal from JI and his staff.
Don’t forget to make your luncheon reservation by Monday, September 11th. This
month it will be held at Crawford’s Pizza with Ellen Hearn as our speaker. Ellen’s special-
ty is Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. She will be
speaking on the topic of HR practices old & new. You won’t want to miss her informa-
tive presentation.
We have 3 upcoming BAH and or Ribbon Cuttings in September. September 11th we will
have Solsa and the new HSHS Family Medicine facility. On September 21st we have a
BAH/Ribbon Cutting at International Eye Care. Please see page 2 of the newsletter for
more information. You won’t want to miss any of these events.
In closing, I want to remind everyone to support your fellow Mt. Zion Chamber Mem-
bers when you are in the market for goods and services. I wish everyone a great Sep-
tember and I look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming events.
With Warm Regards,
Karen
