"...like a tree firmly planted." -PSALM 1:3

Thank You!Dear Friends of North Shore Christian School,

We have much to be thankful for in our 63rd year of providing a Christ-centered education, and we are eager to share with you, through this annual report, some highlights of this past academic year across our campuses in Lynn, Beverly, and Marblehead. In addition to reflecting on the previous year, we also hope you will join us as we look with enthusiasm to what the future holds for the school.

Our mission at NSCS has always been to create an environment where our children are known, valued, and challenged. Every school day students work with teachers dedicated to learning about the uniqueness of each child, while together exploring with their class every inch of God’s creation through literature, mathematics, and science, while in the classroom, on field trips, during chapel worship or in their bible study.

During their time here, our students are encouraged to serve as gifted and inspiring agents of God’s kingdom as they understand their unique value, while learning to value others. Here they are challenged to become community-builders, learning to think independently, and at the same time caring for one another, whether as outreach into their communities, or with each other in the classroom.

As a school community we take pride in our NSCS alumni, as they move through their education in high school or beyond, raising future generations, becoming leaders in business, the arts, education, or serving in ministry or missions. They have made a difference in our communities, and around the world, and we are honored to have been there with our supporters, helping shape them during those most formative school years.

For over 60 years, NSCS has remained committed to the joyful task of helping children to become “trees, firmly planted.” As a supporter, you are integral to our ability to grow, and continue to be a non-denominational, independent Christian school. It is your support that makes it possible for us to bear fruit that will impact the world. Please prayerfully consider how you can help keep Christian education strong, vibrant and affordable for families on the North Shore.

Our Mission:rooted in historical evangelical Christian faith, north Shore Christian School, in concert with family and church, seeks to be a community that provides challenging elementary and secondary education. through academic and biblical instruction, we strive to nurture each student’s learning and thinking, and equip them to serve God within their local communities and around the world.

on behalf of all of us at nSCS, I wish you a blessed Christmas. In the name of our coming King,

While remaining strongly committed to the goal of providing a Christ-centered and academically rigorous education, NSCS continues to face challenges given the shifting demographics of our region, a lackluster economic recovery, and a growing number of educational options from which parents can choose. Over the past several years, the Board has pursued a multi-faceted strategy involving a renewed focus on admissions, greater development and marketing efforts, and developing alternative income streams.
