Regarding the term heritage, Local Heritage, Documented, not documented, Age / changes. etc. Heritage is the thing which is transmitted from generation to generation, and is constantly recreated by communities and groups, in response to their environment, their interaction with nature, their history etc. It provides people with a sense of identity and continuity, and promotes respect for cultural diversity and human creativity. Local heritage is a part of it and can be considered for documentation. The site Selected should be justified by the participants as “Heritage” Regarding the Selection of Site/ Structures the brief aims to document maximum structures which are present in the country and yet are not known, or are not under the light. Hence it is encouraged that the structures which have not been documented should be taken up. The changes in the structure can be fairly recent, as raised in the query.
