Hello peers WelcometothefirstcopyofLights&Lens,a free photography community magazine, byphoto enthusiasts, for photo enthusiasts! Theidea of running a magazine has long beenpondering at the back of my head, but nev-er found a right opportune moment to comeout until now. But thanks to Mr.SandeepRao and Mr.Sooraj Shajahan (who abso-lutely did not a singlework in thismag)wedecided to take up this brave initiativeintothewild!;) Lights&Lens[LL],beingafreeamateurcommunity magazine, will feature your bestphotography works, a few articles on DIYphotography, fun snippets, Photo Critique,competitionsandcontests,anddetailsonanyupcoming workshops, events or promotions.Theultimateaimis toshareand learn,whileshowcasing our work to thousands around!There’sawholelotofplanscomingupforthemagazinesoifyou’vegotsomeniceideasonmind,domailtheminandwe’llgetintouchwithyou.Asofyet,wehavedecidedtokeepthisasanOnline-onlyversionduetobudgetconstraints;-)

ThiswasLights&Lens’firstmonthoflaunch,andwealreadyreceivedmorethana100differentsubmissions!Itwasdifficultforustopickouttheonestobefeaturedforthismonth’smagazine,butintheend,wedidpicktwoimagesfromeachofthecontributors.Someimageswereoutstanding,some,simplysurreal!I’vetriedto includeasmuchaspossible,but for thosewhogotmissedout,ourapologiesforthesame,restassured,we’llfeatureyouintheupcomingissues.Assaidearlier,iwouldliketoremindyouthatwhensendinginimages,pleaseincludetheEXIFdata,asmost,simplydidnot,henceinvariablywewereunabletofeaturethemheredespitethembeingsomestrongimages.
