We look at the best way to illuminate the external Architectural features of buildings and their landscapes whether this is a private park, domestic garden or a feature in the public domain.

Consideration is always given to finding the best light sources for accurate colour rendering, for angle of delivery, for long term maintenance and running costs and for environmental and ecological considerations.

Internal building lighting encompasses the calculation and provision of the correct levels of ambient light as set within the CIBSE Code as well as using light to enhance the particular features of the property. By working closely with the Client, their Architects, Interior designers, Kitchen, Bathroom and furniture and building trades we can introduce light into the building to provide extra dynamic dimensions to the living spaces.

The Lighting tools available to us allow for the creation of exciting contrast and specific highlighting. They allow us to use light and shadow to create atmosphere and mood, to control spacial awareness as well as delivering light in such a way that understands the needs of the eye brain mechanism and seasonal balance.

Lighting planning takes into account the current requirements of Building legislation as well as best practice in relation to environmental issues

Corporate Lighting and the Workplace Many of us spend large parts of our lives in office spaces or within manufacturing and lighting should provide a well lit environment that complies with current legislation. It should give our eyes all the assistance it can in viewing, assimilating information and safely carrying out the task to hand. NALC works with employers to ensure that the correct light levels are achieved to aid good productivity and a feeling of wellbeing

It is important for retail and restaurant to present a visually attractive window to the world that showcases its product to best effect. For restaurants the relationship between light and mood is fundamental, providing atmosphere, interest and fun
