The company was founded in 1923 by Mr. William Fabian Fischer, a German national residing in Spain. GRUPO EXCELSIOR was established as an unlimited company in March 1977. It became Ltd in October 2010. Our registered office is located in 5, Calle Baños de Montemayor, Madrid (Spain).

The company’s trade name is GRUPO EXCELSIOR and have over 90 years of experience in the lifting industry in the areas of designing, manufacturing, installing, maintaining and repairing all types of lifting equipment.

We have gained a great experience in the field of refurbishment in the last 20 years. We had installed elevators in buildings which had originally been built without them. We also provide the largest range of accessibility products available in the market (vertical platform lifts, stair lifts, wheelchair lifts and home lifts).

We are specialised in both passenger’s lifts and cargo lifts, dumbwaiters and car lifts. GRUPO EXCELSIOR has its own factory where we design and manufacture all of our own lift components. This allows us to customize every order as needed particularly in old buildings.

Apart from the design and manufacturing we also test all of our components in any of our five in-house testing towers in our 20,000 square meters of factory, here, the Research & Development Department is continually developing new models of elevators, lifts, platforms and stair lifts. Our highly qualified and experienced team makes GRUPO EXCELSIOR a market leader.

Your EXC-SR chair will be fully adjusted to your size and shape

at installation, so all you need to do is strap yourself in, sit back, relax

and enjoy the ride!

To operate your Chair EXC-SR stairlift, simply use the ergonomic

joystick in the arm and lightly press in the direction you wish to travel.

At the top of the stairs, use the side-mounted swivel lever (or optional

powered swivel), to turn the chair and safely step out onto the landing.

When not in use, your EXC-SR stairlift can be folded and parked on the stairs, leaving clear access

for other family members.

Curved stairlifts have tracks that are specifically designed to suit staircases that at least one bend, intermediate landings or are spiral. All of our curved stairlifts are tailor made and desig-ned for your individual staircase and needs.

In order for the seat to get low enough for the user to sit on, it is necessary for the track to extend beyond the staircase to the lower floor level. Or in some cases, there may be a doorway close to the bottom of the stairs and the track may intrude across this. In these circumstances a hinged track should be installed. This means that the track can be folded away from the doorway giving clear access.

Curved stairlifts can be supplied with a powered hinged track that extends when you go downstairs, and folds up when you go upstairs or want to park the lift out of the way, allowing clear access on the lower leve.

Standard safety features

Whatever the stairlifts the client chooses, safety and reliability come along.

All stairlifts have safety sensors both in the unit and the footrest. They are designed to stop the stairlifts if it found any obstacle. Once it is stopped, it can only be moved towards the opposite sense to the obstacle.

The stairlifts is provided with safety belt for better safety. All stairlifts have a key access-switch which enables it to be unplugged and avoid a non-authorised use.

This switch guarantees a safe use whenever children could get in touch with the stairlifts.

Powered hinged rail

ELEGANCE FINISH

This seat can be supplied on our single rail curved system with a choice of two seat positions. This seat comes with a specially designed footrest which means that this seat configuration can be used to provide a solution for particularly narrow curved staircases.

The Elegance seat can be combined with a hinge or drop nose track making it suitable for use in hallways where a door is close to the bottom of the stairs.

The upholstery’s protective layer means that the stairlift seat is both durable and easy to clean. The armrests can be adjusted outwards to create a wider seat.

CLASSIC FINISH

The Classic seat is a durable solution offered in a choice of three colours leather look wipe clean seat each offering a retractable seat belt as standard.

This seat can be supplied on our single rail curved system with a choice of two seat positions. This seat comes with a specially designed footrest which means that this seat configuration can be used to provide a solution for particularly narrow curved staircases.

The Classic seat can be combined with a hinge or drop nose track. The single tube system is available in a choice of three colours as standard: cream, grey and brown.

ALLIANCE FINISH

The Alliance’s ‘retro’ styling delivery brings a classic yet contemporary feel to your stairlift. Its combination of real wood a choice of three leather look cushioned upholstery options can be chosen to complement your décor and rail colour which is also available in a choice of three standard colours.

The Curved Stairlift-Chair with a single rail is designed to move even along the most complex stairs with deep corners. It is discrete and ele-gant at the same time.

It is only available indoors. Assembled on the single rail and fixed by posts directly to the steps.

Ergonomic & Ergonomic HDThe Chair Ergonomic seat is one of the most advanced stairlift seats available. Fully adjustable to the size and shape of the user, the Ergonomic comes as standard on the Chair EXC-SC2. The Ergonomic HD model features an increased weight capacity, which can accommodate users up to 160kg (25st), without sacrificing the looks of the standard Ergonomic seat.

ERGONOMIC SPACEThe compact Ergonomic Space seat is designed for Chair EXC-SC2 stairlifts which are required to be installed on narrow staircases, where space is at a premium.

The Ergonomic Space seat wraps around the user’s body, positioning the back 60 mm . closer to the wall than on the regular Ergonomic seat. In addition, the Space backrest is shorter than the standard Ergonomic seat, eliminating any clash with the user’s shoulder blades.

ERGONOMIC PLUS PADIn some situations, a user with short legs may find it difficult to flex the knee over the edge of the chair, resulting in the leg being unable to reach the footplate.

The specially designed Ergonomic Plus pad features a contoured edge, allowing the user’s upper legs to angle down and their feet to rest on the footplate. Adopting this more natural and secure seating position can save 25mm. The Plus pad is available on the Ergonomic, Ergonomic HD and Ergonomic Space.
