INDEPENDENT PRACTICE:

General practice in India from 1936 to 1943.Practice in Pakistan from 1943 to 1996. HONOURS:

During professional education stood first in all four years and received ‘Travelling Scholarship’ from the Government Of India. In addition, won prizes in design, outdoor sketching and photography during the course of studies.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: Invited to read a paper on “Islamic Architecture” at the seminar held at Muree Hills under the auspices of Field Marshall

Ayub Khan in 1965.

Invited by The Government Of Iran to read a paper on “Combination Of Traditional Iranian Architecture With That Of Modern Technology Of Construction” held at Esfahan in 1970.

Attended seminar an “Aspects Of Building And Town Planning Control In Karachi”, 1979. Delivered lectures on Design and Construction at the Government School Of Architecture, Karachi for 12 years. Now lecturing on Architecture at the N.E.D University Of Engineering And Technology, Karachi. One of the founders of “The Federation Of Architects And Engineers” and past president ( now retired from the federation). One of the founders of “The Institute Of Architects, Pakistan” and elected five times as the president of the institute. One of the founders of “The Government School Of Architecture.”Permanent Chairman of “ The Divisional Council Of Pakistan Standard Institute” (now retired).

FIELD OF PRACTICE: Besides Karachi , I have handled projects in Bombay, Lahore, Multan, Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Dacca and Mymensingh.

PROJECTS:As per list attached.

DURATION OF PRACTICE:60 years. Retired on the 30th of September 1996.
