This dissemination program will:

• Ensure that local authorities take up an important role in communication and dissemination strategy.

• Embed project results in the long term strategy for climate neutrality and the sustainable energy

action plans (SEAP’s) of the Covenant of Mayors Signatories

• Guarantee consistency of BE-REEL! Activities with regard to all local policies

• Attention to the collateral benefits in terms of environmental, economic and social impact.

Expected results: Cities and local authorities are fully prepared and dispose of all necessary components

to lay out a cluster of measures that will change the local housing sector and its climate impact in a

definite and sustainable way.

Beneficiary responsible for implementation: VVSG vzw in collaboration with the Union of Cities and

Upscaling best practices business cases [E9]

���� The target audience are the 235 Belgian cities and municipalities with an engagement and ambition

to contribute to climate action, having signed the “Covenant of Mayors”.

���� The activities are large array of workshops setup by external trainers functional manuals, project management guidelines, to improve stakeholders technical capacities and knowledge.

���� Workshops will be organised on:

• renovation advice for local authorities and housing services, (10 x)

• renovation advice for social renting offices, (5x)

• collective neighbourhood renovation, (10)

• integral energetic refurbishment, (5)

• deep renovation of apartment blocks in co-ownership (10)

Project is lead by VEA in collaboration with SPW - DG04.

The intended marketing plan focuses on broadcasting the general message of the long term

strategy for deep housing renovation to the Flemish population as a whole.
