The Flames hold a 29-7-1 advantage between the two teams on the diamond. • Liberty, the defending ASUN Champion, was voted by the league's head coaches to once again win the conference in 2020. 4 Flames Named to Preseason ASUN All-Conference TeamLiberty second baseman Will Wagner, outfielder Gray Betts and pitchers Noah Skirrow and Garret Price were named to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference team by the conference's head coaches.

• Wagner was the only player unanimously selected to the 2020 ASUN Preseason All-Conference team. Last season, the all-conference first team second base-man finished among the ASUN leaders in hits (third), RBI (fifth), doubles (sixth) and runs scored (tied seventh).

• Betts, an ASUN All-Freshman team and All-Tournament team member, led Liberty with a .314 batting average. The outfielder/catcher finished the year second in the conference with a .455 on base percentage.

• Skirrow posted a 5-6 record with a 3.76 ERA over 76 2/3 innings in 2019. He struck out 98, finishing fourth in the ASUN, while leading the conference with strikeout rate of 11.5 Ks per nine innings.

• Price posted a 7-3 record with three saves and a 3.15 ERA over 65 2/3 innings in 2019. He completed the year among the ASUN leaders in appearances (sec-ond), wins (third), ERA (fifth) and strikeouts per nine innings (fifth).

Price Closes in on Career Appearance Mark• Liberty right-hander Garret Price enters the week one appearance shy of tying Alex Dooley (1992-02) for the most career appearances in program history with 79. Price has already made a team-high five appearances this season.

• Price has already moved into Liberty's career strikeout leaders list. The right-hander has struck 212 batters and is currently ninth all-time. Mike Brown (1994-97) holds the program career record with 287.

Liberty and the ASUN Conference• 2019 was Liberty's first year as a member of the ASUN Conference. Entering the season, the Flames had not faced an ASUN member since 2015 (Kennesaw State).

• The Flames posted a 15-9 mark in conference play, finishing second in the league's regular season standings, before becoming the first team to capture the ASUN title in their first year in the conference since UCF in 1993. • Liberty is 27-23 all-time against current members of the conference. Best Home Record in Liberty Baseball Stadium History in 2019• With a 3-2 victory over Duke in its final home game of the 2019 regular season, the Flames finished the year with a 25-5 record (.833) at Liberty Baseball Stadium, their best mark in the seven-year history of the facility.• The record tops the 2014 Flames' 22-5 home mark (.815).• The Flames outscored their opponents 187-85 at home in 2019. Liberty's pitching staff was especially tough, recording a 2.38 ERA with seven shutouts and holding opponents to a .221 batting average.• The Flames have posted a 147-60 (.710) record at the facility since it opened in 2013. From the On Deck Circle• The Flames enter the week third in nation with nine double plays. Liberty turned five double plays during its three-game series against Seton Hall, this past weekend. • Liberty posted 10 or more hits in a game for the first time in Sunday's 5-3 win over Seton Hall. Second baseman Trey McDyre lead the Flames with three hits in the contest. Center fielder Jaylen Guy and shortstop Cam Locklear had two hits apiece in the game.• Locklear hit the first grand slam of his career, Sunday in Liberty's victory over Seton Hall. The home run was the se-nior's first of 2020 and the 12th of his career. He also had a double in the win to post his first multi-hit game of the year.• Reliever Landon Riley earned his second save of the season, Saturday. The right-hander recorded the final eight outs of Liberty's 3-2 victory over Seton Hall. He gave up one run on two hits over 2 2/3 innings. The right-hander struck out two and did not walk a batter.• Sophomore reliever Troy Britts recorded the first save of his career on Sunday. • Owen Wilson collected his first hit as a Flame in the seventh inning of Saturday's 3-2 win over Seton Hall.
