Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) ⇨ Ultrasound & X-rayNorthEast General Medical Center05/2015-Present | Gainesville, FLSchedule and prepare patients for examinations. Assist in their prescribed treatments by applying modalities such as ultrasound and x-ray. Provide care for diagnostic equipment. Recognize differentiating normal and abnormal sonographic anatomy. Manage the setup, medical examination history, procedure, and cleanup. Detemine historical findings and compare to potentially new findings.
*Expertise in the following physiologic studies: segmental pressures, pulse volume recording, continuous wave doppler, pneumoplethysmography, and photoplethymography, upper and lower venous duplex to include vein mapping, upper and lower arterial duplex to include a multiple of varieties of grafts, AVF, carotid duplex, aorta duplex, and renal duplex.*Treat patients with indications such as stroke, dizziness, vision issues, pain/swelling in the limbs, open ulcers, and diabetes.
Clinical Rotation – Vascular TechnologistEmory Hospital / NorthEast Georgia Medical Center05/2014-05/2015 | Atlanta, GeorgiaWorked closely with the vascular team, including radiologists, cardiologists, and surgeons to diagnose and treat a wide variety of disorders affecting the vascular system. Performed non-invasive vascular examinations to assess vascular disease or disorders. Compiled information gathered in the examination to give a preliminary impression.*Emory Hospital – Completed a 100% hands-on training program, including venous scans for blood clots, arterial scans of the extremeties, cartid arterial scans, abdominal scans, and miscellaneous scans of other parts of the body.*Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Trained via ½ observation and ½ hands-on under a qualified individual.*Met the requirement of 1100 hours of clinical vascular ultrasound training.
