Rationale : Letters of credit form an integral part on InternationalTrade. With India poised to become a leading playerin global trade the knowledge relating to “Letters ofCredit Documentation Exchange Control Regulation”hardly needs an emphasis. In spite of the fact thatLetters of Credit occupy such an important place inInternational Trade, it is not uncommon to come acrossinstances where exporters, importers and evenbankers are found lacking in adequate understandingof the subject. With global integration of trade, it hasbecome essential to revise existing UCP & upgradethe same to meet the challenges that lay ahead. Withthis end in view UCP – 600 is being introduced w.e.f.1st July, 2007.This One Day Seminar has been devised keeping inmind the practical problems faced by Importer &Exporter while operating under Letters of Creditmechanism & acquaint the participants with newUCP – 600.
