November 19, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: I am happy to write this letter of recommendation for Jennifer Jarvis. I met Jennifer winter term 2015 in the Life Tracks Program at Portland Community College. I was her instructor for four classes over two terms, so I was able to get to know her quite well. Jennifer was a pleasure to have in class. I experienced Jennifer as an active, well-read participant in all of our classes. She was always willing to share, seek feedback and ask pertinent questions. Her hunger for knowledge and engagement elevated our entire class. Jennifer is very bright, articulate and willing to put herself out there. When the class discussion was slow to start, Jennifer would usually be the one to get us started with her thoughtful, self-aware participation. Her willingness to be vulnerable allowed others to feel comfortable sharing. Jennifer has a natural ease with people that is a true gift. She is naturally friendly, compassionate and willing to help others. It is with great pleasure that I recommend Jennifer Jarvis for employment. With her organized, conscientious style as a student, I have no doubt of her future success. I can be reached via email at [email protected] or phone at 503-752-3745. Please feel free to contact me, as I would be glad to answer any questions and show my support for Jennifer. Sincerely,
