15 April 2015 To Whom It May Concern: I write this letter of recommendation in support of Ms. Jennifer Jarvis’ application to your program. As an instructor of “Public Speaking,” I had the opportunity to become well acquainted with Ms. Jarvis’ performance and personal character during the quarter that she was enrolled in my course. In my capacity as Ms. Jarvis’ instructor, I can comment upon her commitment to academic endeavors, her work ethic, and her ability to collaborate with others. In my course, Ms. Jarvis was required to deliver four short speeches, the last of which was a persuasive speech about a contemporary public problem or controversy. What impressed me most about Ms. Jarvis’ performance on these assignments was her initiative and determination. Ms. Jarvis clearly put a lot of thought and energy into her projects, and she demonstrated the discipline required for self improvement. Indeed, her initiative and determination produced rewards, as I noticed a marked improvement in her public speaking skills over the course of the quarter. Ms. Jarvis demonstrated great discipline and commitment to her studies in my course. She never missed class and always arrived prepared to participate in class discussions. In addition, she is a strong team player. In my Public Speaking course, students work in groups of teams throughout the semester, helping one another prepare their speeches and preparing a lesson that they present to the class as a group. Ms. Jarvis demonstrated leadership in her work group, and was always ready with encouragement and support for her cohort. Her group members awarded her stellar reviews at the end of the term.

To Whom It May Concern:

I write this letter of recommendation in support of Ms.

Ms. Jarvis’ strong initiative and ability to collaborate with others should serve her well in her future endeavors. I am confident that she will make a strong leader and find success in all her future academic pursuits.
